James Hillier (Actor)

James Hillier, (born 22 September 1973 in Kent, England) is an English actor.

In recent years he has played Sergeant Christian Young on the BBC police drama, HolbyBlue, and Damian, Roxy Mitchell's fiance in BBC1 Soap Opera EastEnders.

Hillier was born in Kent to Anthony and Susan Hillier.

He is the eldest of three boys and got his first real taste for acting playing Jimmy Porter in Look Back in Anger whilst at Maidstone Grammar school.

Moving to London he studied English Literature at King's College.

While at College Hillier greeted customers, dressed as a giant meatball, to promote meatballs at a supermarket.

He later went onto train at RADA, which was quite by chance due to the fact that he was performing a play around the corner and a friend suggested he should try out for it.

He did and landed a place that same year. James has appeared on stage in productions such as Lulu, Closer and Something Cloudy, Something Clear.
