The Village Detective: A Song Cycle

The contents prove to be part of 'Derevenskiy Detektiv' (1969), a popular Soviet comedy which stars Mikhail Zharov as a small-town police officer tasked with reuniting a musician with his stolen accordion.

Morrison uses the process of restoring the film reels as a starting point to explore Zharov's long career.
