No Good Deed

It's one in the morning when PI Robin Light gets a call from her partner John asking her to drive to the home of a certain Benny Gibson, where the car of a client has been seen.

When she arrives and is confronted by police cars, she realizes she's been set up.

When John commits suicide, Robin is determined to clear her name and find out why she was betrayed.

The more Robin investigates, the less she knows. The only thing that becomes apparent as Robin investigates is that lots of people wanted Benny Gibson dead.

Robin is convinced that if she finds Benny Gibson's killer, she'll find the person who forced John to set her up. And she's right. She does. But she pays a high price for her knowledge, a price she never anticipated paying.
