"Beginner 2" builds on the "Toy Shop" theme and introduces new characters.

This provides continuity of context for children and teachers and is ideal for group teaching and discussion.

The step from "Beginner 1" is carefully controlled with children being introduced to only seven new key words (four of which are the new characters' names) in addition to those already learnt in "Beginner 1".

This provides essential practice and consolidation before moving on. This book introduces the new characters in each of the accompanying "Read-On Books" and develops early comprehension and language skills.

The "Read-On Books" provide further practice and reinforcement of sight vocabulary and language structures allowing gradual progression for children and saving teachers time in preparation.

Each "Read-On Book" contains a "Word Wall" which allows teachers and children to monitor their progress.
