In present time, it is becoming necessary to adopt world class practices and compete with world Organisations, maintaining required standards, competitive costs and honest working environment.

It is always necessary to keep in mind that even one bad fish can spoil the whole pond.

Hence the Top Management as well as other Team members have to remain vigilant all the time and keep required Checks and Balances in place to avoid failures which happened in best of the best Organisations like Enron, Parmalat, Lehman Brothers, Satyam and other Organisations or Institutions. In most of such cases, Corporate Governance failed.

Greed and dishonesty prevailed and all stake holders had to suffer in absence of timely warning.

Hence possibilities of scams, scandals, frauds, and other undesirable activities need to be kept under control on a regular basis. In absence of proper information, it is difficult for anyone to say about which particular Organisation is likely to fail in future as what goes on behind the curtain may come to light too late for taking corrective actions. Hence the role of Top Management, Board of Directors, and People In-Charge of different Groups/Departments, becomes very important. People at Top Level who enjoy power also carry responsibility to remain away from any dubious dealings and should not support corruption in any form.

Department Heads and Teams also have the same responsibility. Author has tried to highlight certain good and not so good sides of working styles in various Organisations and has also hinted at some problem areas which may affect negatively in absence of timely action.

If proper care is taken, specially by Top Management, then Organisation can go on crossing more and more milestones and in the process all the stakeholder will enjoy the fruits of success.
