Alberto Giacometti

Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966) was one of the most significant artists of the 20th century.

He became obsessed with the idea of representing reality in his painting and, especially, sculpture at a time when the Surrealists reached their peak.

Facing excommunication from the Surrealist movement, Alberto had the courage to return to working from the model in 1935.
