Of particular interest is her argument that we should not feel that we can only deal with world issues through governmental organizations.

Indeed, Boulding feels that it is through the thousands of non-governmental organizations, the Red Cross, Amnesty International, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, among others, that we can best deal with the great civic issues of our time.
