A Bibliography of Graham Greene

Part of the Soho Bibliographies series
See all formats and editions

This is the first listing of the works of Graham Greene that pretends to completeness, giving chronologically the books that Greene has published, books he has edited or to which he has contributed, his publications in periodicals (including works that have appeared anonymously or under pseudonyms), and translations of his works into over twenty languages (including nearly a hundred items published first, or published only, in translation).

Notes on the original productions of all of Graham Greene's plays are included, along with a historical listing of all the films made from his novels, the films for which he wrote scripts, and the films in which he has appeared.

The bibliography also lists letters by others that Greene has signed, book comments that have appeared only on dust jackets or in advertisements, editions for the visually handicapped, educational editions, and interviews.

It concludes with a listing of Greene's unpublished works and of the radio and television productions in which he is known to have participated. Thirty years of work went into the compilation of this bibliography and hundreds of letters from Graham Greene have been consulted or cited in verifying thousands of its details.

It is unlikely that this work will be superseded in the next decade.
