"Magpies" are written for children of average reading ability and build on vocabulary and reading skills already acquired at "Owls Stages 6-7".

They introduce longer, more complicated sentence structures, involve more complex storylines and subplots, and offer a starting point for story-writing.

This pack contains one copy of each title of the "big books" for stage 8: "The Kidnappers", "Viking Adventure", "The Rainbow Machine", "The Flying Carpet", "A Day in London" and "Victorian Adventure".
