A constant daydreamer, Rowena Shelby has lived in the seaside town of Glazton her whole life.

She spends her days working in a shop along the seafront, her lunch-times sunning herself on the beach and her evenings enjoying the bright lights of the pier.

Swept up by a mysterious stranger named Cara, Rowena is treated to a whirlwind romance encompassing all her favourite pastimes.

The next day, Cara reveals she has to leave Glazton.

A photographer by trade, she is visiting the seaside to get glamour shots and has failed to bulk out her portfolio.

Distraught and in love, Rowena agrees to pose in a raunchy blue swimsuit, under the provision the photos will never be sold.

Shortly after, Cara vanishes and postcards bearing Rowena's image appear in the shop.

Attempting to hide the truth from family and friends, Rowena has greater concerns, for Cara convinced her to remove the swimsuit and pose for topless photos; and if the swimsuit images have been commercially released, the topless ones cannot be far behind.

Alone and terrified, Rowena must learn to trust those who truly love her, for only by casting aside her daydreams can she find the strength and support necessary to halt production of the images labelled the Captain's Bombshell.
