This volume addresses the under-studied subject of the neurobiological aspects of social behaviour.

It aims to understand the biological processes that regulate social organization and social bonds, and provides an interdisciplinary exchange of new ideas about the evolutionary and ecological perspectives on social behaviour; issues of social behaviour and mental illness; neuroendocrine mechanisms of affiliation; developmental factors in social behaviour; social interactions in the context of social organisation; and cognitive, biological and evolutionary constraints on social behaviour.
