CASE Tools

The evaluation criteria in this volume relate to Computer Aided Systems Engineering (CASE) Tools.

The volume addresses CASE tools in a generic manner, that is, independent of whichever analysis and design method is being used.

Presented in three parts, the main part of the volume contains the high level criteria and the checklists of detailed technical questions used within the evaluation model to assess and rank CASE tools.

The introduction describes the scope of the subject area and explains the notation used for the criteria, and summarises the main headings.

The annexes contain a hierarchy chart of the subject matter, a bibliography, a glossary of terms used and a checklist of all the questions from the evaluation criteria.

This work should interest IT staff wishing to carry out appraisals or evaluations for soundly based procurement as well as IT management considering the introduction of CASE tools.
