This book was originally the syllabus of the course Introduction to Buddhism for the Chinese Department of Nankai University, which was revised later.

It was published by Nankai University Press in 1990, named Introduction to Chinese Buddhist Culture.

In 2000, it was reprinted by Nankai University Press.

Now the author has revised it again, and it is included in the collection of Sun Changwu's Anthology.

The book is divided into three chapters: "e;Buddha and Buddhism"e;, "e;Chinese Buddhism"e;, "e;Buddhism and Chinese Culture"e;.

From three aspects, this paper describes the basic meaning of Buddhism and its influence on Chinese culture.
