Marina is a great therapist. All of her clients think so. One of them misunderstands her unconditional positive regard as more and tries to force himself on her. She develops post-traumatic stress disorder from his attack. As a therapist, she thinks she can handle it by herself but she finds out even therapists might need their own therapist.

If the rest of the people in her life would help, she thinks, it wouldn't be so bad. But long-standing sexual problems in her marriage threaten to sink her. Her best friend lives on the west coast. Her daughters are at college, thank goodness. Her life spirals out of control until she finds her way to a new life that works.

Excellent book for starting discussions about mental health therapy and therapists.
