Farm Wildlife and How to Conserve It outlines some of the key general features of animal habitats and describes some of the activities that can be undertaken to better conserve wildlife on a farm.

It then presents around 25 example species chosen to highlight some key habitat feature - large flowering trees, hollow trees, ground cover, understorey vegetation, well managed farm dams or watercourses etc.

Most of the species are common to a large part of southern and eastern Australia.

Each entry gives the distinguishing features of the animal, key features of its required habitat, and what can be done on a farm to better conserve the species.

Each entry includes a colour photograph of the species and a small set of accompanying photographs showing some of the key parts of the animal's habitat.
