This course translates the theory of task-based learning into a practical and user-friendly coursebook, recognizing that the performance of regular spoken and written tasks is crucial to successful language acquisition.

It combines elements of the task-based approach with a strong emphasis on vocabulary, alongside a comprehensive grammar and skills syllabus. "Cutting Edge" provides material for 90-120 hours' teaching, according to how much extra material is used from the "Teacher's Resource Book".
