This is the first volume in a projected sub-series of the 'AOS Translations' series, 'Sumerian and Akkadian Royal Inscriptions'.

It provides translations of all royal inscriptions from Mesopotamia prior to the advent of Sargon of Agade.

The translations are intended for scholars-Assyriologists and those in other disciplines who require acess to the data of these texts in an up-to-date, accurate, and informed presentation.
