Eric M. Crook has spent many years painstakingly photographing and studying the ancient monuments of Wiltshire.

His researches have led to the discovery of numerous mysterious images in the stones around Avebury, which appear to depict human faces as well as a host of animals, from gorillas to reindeer. These images could prove to be the key to a better understanding of the people who built the world-famous monuments at Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill, and they may reveal the existence of a great, hitherto unknown Neolithic dynasty.
