Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter

Rinko Kikuchi stars in this drama following a Japanese woman as she searches for fictional treasure she believes to be real.

Tokyo office worker Kumiko (Kikuchi) lives a lonely and unhappy existence.

Believing the events depicted in the 1996 film 'Fargo' to be based on a true story, she decides to go on a journey to find the vast some of money one of the characters buries in the snow.

With a handmade map Kumiko leaves Tokyo and travels to North Dakota on a dangerous quest...
