Statistical Yearbook for Latin America and the Caribbean (2000 ed.)

This yearbook is divided into two parts and contains a selection of the main statistical inventory available on economic and social trends in the countries of the region.

Part one looks at derived social and economic indicators (growth rates, ratios or coefficients) which gives an overview of each of the areas of interest.

Also included here is the background material needed to make the information suitable for use in specialized analysis.

Part two provides a historical series in absolute figures and, as a result, they can be used for a variety of purposes.

The majority of tables are organized in such a way as to facilitate comparisons among countries as well as between individual countries and regional totals or averages.
