Intergovernmental Conference on the revision of the treaties : Italian presidency - Collected Texts, Brussels, July 1996

At the end of the first phase of the Intergovernmental Conference on the revision of the Treaties, the most significant documents relevant to this phase of the conference were gathered together.

Progress during the first phase of the conference is outlined in the report submitted to the European Council in Florence at the end of the Italian presidency, to which are appended the draft texts drawn up by the presidency during the first phase of the conference.

On the basis of these documents, the European Council meeting in Florence in June 1996 noted the discussions which had taken place and defined the objectives to be pursued in the succeeding phases of the conference.
