This example features Grimm's Fairy Tales: Winking Owl. This image was used to illustrate the tale of the 'Willow-Wren' in Grimm's Fairy Tales, Vol. 5 (1920). It depicts the owl standing guard over the wren after he dared call himself 'King of the Birds'.
