James Bond is bored in the Bahamas. It had been a dull dinner party with dreary guests, yet a chance remark leads the Governor to tell 007 a true story about a civil servant and his scandalous wife.

Over drinks, Bond hears a tale about raw human passions that contains more cruelty and suffering than any experienced by him - and which makes him question the violence in his own life..."Quantum of Solace" was originally published in Ian Fleming's collection of short stories, "For Your Eyes Only", and is also the title of the twenty-second James Bond film, starring Daniel Craig.
