The Corner Table's Point Of ViewMy corner table sitsin this back niche, alongthe path from door to arch,from back hall to the nextroom, looking to the frontdoor, seen around the jambanother arch provides. I sit and write, allowdistractions here and there - a customer's approach,a man and his computeracross the room, the pairdeparting, smiles and frowns,the sway of hips and swishof skirts, a water splash,a bit of voice, a lushof quiet, conversationand radiio beyondmy sight.
