"Don't Leave Me" is a drug education publication for use with Key Stage 3 students or above.

It is supported by easy to use and innovative lesson plans (packed with interactive activities and resources), which will inform, stimulate discussion and challenge attitudes.

Three young friends experiment with using solvents/volatile substances.

Dee has 'sniffed' before and persuades Harvey to try it for the first time with potentially disastrous consequences.

Their friend Callum runs away when Harvey suffers a bad reaction, leaving Dee to deal with the situation alone.

As the incident is replayed, Dee gets a second and then a third chance to save Harvey and comes to realise that staying to help her friend is the right thing to do.

The resource highlights what to do if someone experimenting with drugs has a bad reaction to them - or collapses for any other reason. "Don't Leave Me" is also included in the Secondary Integrated PSHCE education Toolkit supplied free to all Kirklees high schools in July 2008.

The Third Edition of the Toolkit published in March 2010 is also available for purchase (ISBN 978-1-904450-45-0).
