Introduction to Wireless and Personal Communications

Telecommunications hardware and software developers, system engineers and other technical personnel and managers engaged in the design, implementation and testing of wireless systems(Note: This course requires the following textbook: Wireless and Personal Communications Systems by Garg, available from Prentice Hall).

This course is designed to provide basic understanding of wireless and personal communications.

It provides an overview of the basics of telecommunication systems and traffic engineering.

Students will be introduced to cellular/PCS systems and radio propagation and the fundamentals of radio technology.

The course will also focus on information processing in wireless communications, and will explore the fundamentals of wireless mobile communications.
