N. Goyal is Professor at the department of chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

He holds a Ph.D. in electrochemistry from Roorkee University and D.Sc from Agra University.

He has gained further experience as Postdoctoral fellow at the University of loughborough, UK, University of Oklahoma, USA and later as JSPS scientist at Kyoto University, Japan.

He has been teaching undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students for three decades.

His research interests are molecular electrochemistry and determination of biomolecules at nanomaterial modified electrodes.
