United Kingdom management plan for exports and imports of waste

This publication sets out the plan which enters into force on 1 June 1996, which relates to the whole of the United Kingdom and sets out the governments's policies on exports out of and imports into the United Kingdom of waste for disposal or recovery.

It incorporates technical guidance and assessment criteria designed to assist UK authorities in taking decisions on proposed shipments.

This work complements the White Paper on waste which was published on 12 December 1995 and sets out the Government's strategy for sustainable waste management in England and Wales.
