History : Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 - A Report by H.M.Inspectorate - Second Year, 1992-93

This report assesses attainment in history at Key Stages 1, 2 and 3.

At Key Stages 1 and 2 the standards achieved by pupils showed an improvement in 1992-93 compared with 1991-92.

At all Key Stages there was an improvement in the quality of teaching and learning.

The signs of improvement were most evident at Key Stage 1.

At all Key Stages teaching of high quality reflected an awareness of the National Curriculum history framework and the Attainment Targets.
