Water pricing : Government reply to the Committee's report, fourth special report

This paper contains the Government's response to the recommendations made by the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs Committee in their first report (HCP 121, 2003-04; ISBN 0215014456) which examined: the conduct of the 2004 Periodic Review of water companies' price limits being undertaken by the Office of Water Services (Ofwat); the projected price increases that water companies have stated will be required to deliver necessary investment levels; and whether the current approach to price setting is in the customer's best interests.
