Developing writing

"Specials!" are a teaching resource designed for KS3 students whose literacy skills are considerably lower than their age.

Although reading skills may be poor, they do not necessarily have low-level thinking skills.

Therefore, these books will have an 'older format' to counteract the simple text and will cover all relevant topics.

They will include activities, visuals and assessment sheets as well as detailed teacher pages.

Lots of support material will be provided.
