This book has three stories set in and around Follifoot Farm. The titles are : 1. Good Morning, 2. The Blackbird, 3. The Bone.

The emphasis in this book is on the alternative spellings of the vowel sounds /oa/, /ur/, /oo/, /or/.
The spellings used are: ow (slowly), o-e (stone), o (told), ir (bird), oo (roots), ew, (flew), or (thorns), ore (before), oor (door).
Other vowel spellings include: ay (way), a-e (lane), ee (free), ea (real), ie (field), i-e (li‡e), igh (night), i (find), ie (tried), ou (round), ow (down), oo (wool), ar (barn), er (under), oi (soil), ear (early).
