English Vowels

This series contains 12 books to teach children the different spellings of the English vowel phonemes to be taught in Key Stage 1 of the UK primary school curriculum.

The spellings are 'ow (cow), ou (about), ar (star), er (after), ir (bird), or, (storm), ur (burn), oo (foot), aw (saw), au (caught), are (mare), air (hair), ear (near), ea (head), oi (soil), (toy).

After the spelling is introduced, it may be used in subsequent books, but not necessarily. This way the series grows accumulatively and sequentially.
