This book tells the story of two cats who are abandoned on the road next to Follifoot Farm.


They go into the farmyard to look for a good place to stay. They have not been to a farm before, neither have they seen or heard farm animals. They are surprised by the size of the animals they meet and the noises they make. The day turns out to be eventful for all of them.
The story is told in six chapters mainly in the present tense.
