As such it focuses on four key issues: resources and programs for teaching Spanish which among world languages boasts the largest enrollment among U.S. students at both the secondary and higher education levels; original curricular models for teaching English in Turkey, Japanese for business, European studies in Europe and the U.S., and multiple languages for academic disciplines and professional purposes in the U. S.; assessment of teaching outcomes (i.e., language proficiency development) in both the United States and the European Union; and, real-life examples of applied languages and cultures for the professions, with, again, a focus on the European Union and transatlantic relations.
