Inclusion and Special Needs Education for Immigrant Students in the Nordic Countries

It is the first book to provide new insights into the received support and special needs education (SNE) for students with an immigrant background in the different contexts of Nordic countries.
The collection has been inspired by and prepared in collaboration between Northern European researchers and brings together academic input from researchers working on a wide array of issues related to educational research and practices.
The combination of immigrant background and special needs is a complex field that has not received much attention. Many children with immigrant backgrounds are erroneously diagnosed with learning disorders but also go on undetected. This book will be the first step towards better services for this group and more adequate assessments and interventions.
