Writing Fiction Year 6

All children have to complete two set writing tasks as part of the Key Stage 2 national test in English and, as it's one of the core learning areas where children are making least progress, schools and teachers are under enormous pressure to raise standards in writing. Teaching writing is one of the most challenging teaching activities.

It is time-consuming to come up with engaging tasks that reflect the National Literacy Strategy objectives and inspire creativity in pupils.
