This teacher's resource is part of the "Hodder Science" series, which is designed to support the National Curriculum guidelines for Key Stage 3 science.The series offers a context-based approach to the subject and aims to stimulate and motivate students by relating the science to real life.

Each concept is studied and then briefly revisited and consolidated within a different context later in the course.

Used together, the three pupil's books provide a progressive year-on-year course to take pupils through their National tests.This teacher's resource is a photocopiable text written to accompany the second pupil's book in the series and comprises a number of features to help teachers get the best of their pupils.

Included in the text are details of how each spread links with the National Curriculum, homework activities, additional practical activities, technician's notes incorporating health and safety issues, end-of-unit tests and target setting sheets and full answers to items in the Pupil's Book and Resource Pack.
