<i>The Journal of Vampire Studies</i> is an academic journal dedicated to vampire scholarship. Edited by Anthony Hogg (Vamped, Editor-in-Chief) and Andrew M. Boylan (Taliesin Meets the Vampires, Blogger), with an introduction by Martin V. Riccardo, former editor of the <i>Journal of Vampirism</i> (1977–79), the Journal of Vampire Studies provides a platform for scholars from various academic disciplines, approaches and methods. The first issue covers vampire etymology, plot variations of the Lord Ruthven story, the case for the inclusion of New England "vampires" in vampire lore canon, critical examinations of the work of Montague Summers and Paul Barber, and more.
