Visual Culture in Britain - v.6, no.1

Visual Culture in Britain offers original material and introduces innovative work with the aim of placing visual culture - painting and sculpture, architecture and design, print, film, photography and the performing arts - in relation to wider culture from the 18th century to the present.

Published in association with the Centre for Visual Culture in Britain, articles in Volume 6 will address a range of contemporary debates, such as as constructions of racial, ethnic and gender identities, nationality and internationalism, colonialism, high and low culture, the role of institutions and cultural groupings, models of production and consumption.
