This is the story of a single, 38-year-old woman barrister and Johnny Virtue, a long time south east London viallain, who find themselves thrown together when their respective children disappear together.

Abbra Ellis is a tough, moral, professional woman who has never previously experienced, or wanted to experience, the way of life lived by those she faces daily in the court room.
