The World List of Universities - 1991-1993

"The World List of Universities", long established as an invaluable reference tool for all those concerned with the administration of higher education, is now in its 19th edition, reflecting the continuing and rapid development of higher education in all parts of the world.

It is bilingual in English and French and is divided into two main sections. Part 1 is arranged alphabetically by country. Each country begins with a list of universities and other institutions of higher education, giving their official name, postal address, and, where appropriate, a brief indication of their structure by faculty, college and school.

This is followed by entries, many with descriptive notes, for the principal national academic and student bodies.

Government agencies able to provide information about higher education and National Commissions of UNESCO are also included. Part 2 is a guide to the principal international and regional organizations concerned with higher education and student affairs, including the IAU and its associated members and the work of UNESCO in this field.
