Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles/Voice of Terror

Double feature starring Basil Rathbone as detective Sherlock Holmes.

In 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' (1939), Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead with an expression of utter terror on his face, and the locals ascribe his demise to the ancient family curse - a hell-hound, said to roam the moors.

With the aid of Doctor Watson (Nigel Bruce), Holmes sets out to discover whether there is any substance to the legend - before Sir Henry Baskerville, newly arrived from America to claim his inheritance, also falls prey to the family curse.

In 'Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror' (1942), mysterious wireless broadcasts - apparently from Nazi Germany - are heard over the BBC airwaves.

They warn of acts of terror in England, just before they take place.
