This joint publication of the British Medical Association and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society aims to provide doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with a quick reference guide to current information about the use of medicines, including selection, prescribing, dispensing and administration.

Drugs that are generally prescribed in the UK are included and those that are considered less suitable for prescribing are clearly identified.
