Bobby and Billy are two mischievous, but lovable, cats who live in the countryside at Red Roofs Farm along with Jack and Hannah, the farmer and his wife; and by their friends who are Ben the Sheepdog, Gertie the Cow, Shorty the Pig, and Captain the Horse. They sleep on a soft bed of hay in the cozy and warm barn.

Even though most of the time they don't mean to get into any mischief, I'm afraid that mischief and adventures seemed to follow the two brothers wherever they go. In this first story, we find that poor Bobby has lost his voice.
