Eric the Oracle on Bullying

Have you ever felt frightened or unhappy because you're being 'picked on?' Worse than anything, it's often a secret and, for loads of different reasons known only to you, you daren't tell anyone.

There are hundreds of reasons for bullying. These can include being black, white, fat, thin, quiet, clever, red-haired, curly haired, where you live, how you talk - or even for just being there! Sometimes bullying happens for no reason at all, other than because the bully feels like doing it.

Well, do you know what? If you're being bullied, you don't have to put up with it! In this tale, Eric the Oracle has a chat with Hamish, who's a young hedgehog standing by himself, away from his friends and family who are all having fun together in the warm sunshine.

He looks so unhappy. A willow warbler flying high above the woodland is shocked to see a beautiful looking fox quietly go up to Hamish and cruelly squash some berries into his back leg and try to trip him up to make him look clumsy in front of everyone.
