Escaflowne: The Movie

Feature-length adaptation of the animated series directed by Kazuki Akane.

Hitomi Kanzaki (voice of Maaya Sakamoto) is an unhappy young woman with little motivation and no energy.

Without warning however, she is visited by a strange person calling himself Lord Folken (Jouji Nakata) who sends Hitomi to the realm of Gaea.

The people of this world believe that Hitomi's arrival is prophetic and that she is the Wing Goddess in whom resides the power to summon the legendary dragon armour known as Escaflowne.

With the dragon clans of Gaea threatening to bring chaos to the world, Hitomi finds herself holding the fate of Gaea in her hands.
