In the year 1230, the Teutonic Order of Knights is given permission by the Holy Roman Emperor, the Pope and the Duke of Masovia to enter the lands of Pagan Prussia and join the Baltic Crusades.

As the news reaches the scattered contingents, a select few are sent to begin the conquest on the other side of the Vistula.

Amongst the knights sent, Dietrich von Hohenflacherstein will go and meet up again with his secret partner Meinhardt Lehenman.

Since Dietrich's return to the Order, his home life has seemed almost a distant memory and though the days with Meinhardt had been few and far between, their love has grown stronger, but the north proves a new challenge.

Though fears over a potential new Burzenland run through the ranks, the steady victories and the firm command of Hermann Balk keep all thoughts of leaving Culmerland at bay.

But here in the north the pagans are not as wild as those that Dietrich and Meinhardt have fought before and in this land of marsh and cold, old demons will return and new demons will be met.

The pair will learn the true harshness of a system intent on removing pagan control over land coveted by Christian masters and how the lack of connection to their own has meant there are more wolves amongst their order than they had thought before.

Hideous truths and harsh realities will threaten the strength of their relationship at its greatest height... but the stubborn knights aren't likely to give in, no matter the foes around them.

This book is the second in a trilogy titled "Sons of the Order" - this book is about the continued romance between Dietrich and Meinhardt and contains mature scenes involving two men.

This book also contains situations as well as references to scenarios that may upset.

This book is not intended for anyone under eighteen years of age.
