O'Brien Township is a township in Beltrami County, Minnesota, United States.

The population was 56 as of the 2000 census.According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.0 square miles (93.1 km2), of which 35.9 square miles (93.1 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2) (0.08%) is water.As of the census of 2000, there were 56 people, 23 households, and 16 families residing in the township.

The population density was 1.6 people per square mile (0.6/km2).

There were 25 housing units at an average density of 0.7/sq mi (0.3/km2).

The racial makeup of the township was 96.43% White, and 3.57% from two or more races.There were 23 households out of which 21.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.6% were married couples living together, and 26.1% were non-families. 26.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 2.82.
