"Schreibe mir nur immer viel." : Ein Briefwechsel zwischen Hans und Lea Grundig

The approximately 700 surviving letters of Dresden-based artist couple Hans Grundig (1901–1958) and Lea Grundig (1906–1977) are unique of their kind–and most of them are unpublished to date.

Primarily love and artists’ letters, they cover not only three social systems but also several countries.

They address questions about the relations between art and politics, religion and society, as well as resistance, exile and migration.

In advance of the planned edition, contributions by renowned authors will provide an insight into the editing work and, above all, into the scale and contemporary historical setting of the correspondence.
